I&rsquo;m in the seventh year of painting every sunset &ndash; starting January 1, 2006 &ndash; having painted many before that, from June 1995.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 130%;">Most of the sunsets are seen from the same vantage point, facing the Blue Ridge, in Virginia, north of Charlottesville. Otherwise I paint the sunset view from wherever I happen to be. Even if painted later from a sketch, these paintings are done &ldquo;alla prima&rdquo; in around the same time it takes to watch the sun go down.</span></p>
